To participate in YCAAA teleconference meetings, you need to have Skype installed on your computer, which is free and available at www.skype.com/intl/en-us/business website. Once you have it installed, add Mr. Tenopir as a contact. His Skype name is tjtenopir and email address is tjtenopir@anacapa.net. If you have a webcam, speakers and microphone, these accessories will greatly enrich your teleconference experience. Once you have the Skye software downloaded and installed, complete the registration process and your profile information, which will include establishing your Skpe user name. You can use your current email address (don't have to create a new one).

YCAAA Mission Statement

YMCA Camp Arbolado Alumni Association (YCAAA) is an association of all people who are united in a common effort to support and enhance the mission of the YMCA of Greater Whittier Camp Arbolado and the families, youth and staff it services. The Association fulfills this purpose through activities which provide human capital, monetary, equipment and material resources, perpetuate and preserve camp history, and provide a support network for campers, alumni and staff.

YCAAA Committees

Are you interested in being active in a YCAAA committee? Do you have talents and skills that would best benefit a specific committee? To help you decide where you would like to channel your focus within the YCAAA, a description of the various committess is given below.

Nominating Committee
The Board of Directors shall appoint a Nominating Committee consisting of 3 full Association members who are not Board of Directors officers or Trustees. It shall be the duty of thiscommittee to nominate candidates for the Board of Directors Officers and Trustees to be filled atthe next bi-annual election, and to follow other procedures set for the conduct of elections.

Finance Committee
The Board of Directors shall appoint a Finance Committee chaired by the elected Treasurer of the YCAAA. The Finance Committee shall propose suggested expenditures and other financially related matters to The Board of Directors for approval, and shall present a yearly financial report of the YCAAA budget.

Campership Committee
The Campership Committee is made up of volunteer Association members and associate members. Its duties shall consist of, but are not limited to:

Solicit and screen eligible children to receive campership financial support
Determine disbursement of campership funds.

Camp Historical Committee
The Camp Historical Committee is made up of volunteer Association members and associate members. Its duties shall consist of, but are not limited to:

In conjunction with the YMCA Camp Arbolado Camp Committee, gather, research, and preserve all data, artifacts and memorabilia (songs, photos, plaques, stores, people, artifacts, events, etc.) of YMCA Camp Arbolado

Communications Committee
The Communications Committee is made up of volunteer Association members and associate members. Its duties shall consist of, but are not limited to:

Prepare and publish a quarterly newsletter
Create and maintain the YCAAA website
Provides input to the YMCA of Greater Whittier Camp Website manager
Help the YCAAA Board of Directors send out notices and other communications as needed

Program Committee
The Program Committee is made up of volunteer Association members and associate members. Its duties shall consist of, but are not limited to:

Propose, plan and oversee various YCAAA social events throughout the year
Serve as a program resource to the YMCA Camp Arbolado Camp Committee and Camp Staff (both Whittier and lease groups) in terms of people skills, talents and time.
Propose, plan, and oversee various service projects (constructions, restorations, cleaning, repairing, etc.) that would benefit YMCA Camp Arbolado.
