The Whittier Y's Men PM club is in the process of recruiting new members, particularly those who have and interest in YMCA Camp Arbolado, such as former campers, staff, family and friends.
In regards to camp, the goal is to have a mixture of related activities and projects that can be done at camp/various Whittier locations, as well as those that can be done remotely for those who no longer live near camp. Examples of potential identified camp service activities include:
- Fire clearance
- Maintenance and repair (i.e., painting, cleaning, etc.)
- Trail work
- Program area enhancements (i.e., designing and installing Frisbee and orienteering courses, Arrowhead leather point, minerals display cabinet, camp museum, camp flag, etc.)
- Social events (i.e. alumni dinners, Raggers Reunions, etc.)
- Fundraising events
- Assistance with Alumni Association and Raggers Society
For more information on how you can join the club and some of the Camp Arbolado projects and activities the club has identified, contact Bob Warnock at (562)907-6545.
